The new CR2 Lifepak defibrillator is the first defibrillator with CPR feedback technology built in. This means that when you perform CPR on your patient, the device will let you know if what you’re doing is effective or not.
This can help save lives of both patients and rescuers by allowing them to focus on what’s most important: getting oxygenated blood circulating through their body again as soon as possible after a heart attack or cardiac arrest event.
Fastest time to shock of any AED
The LIFEPAK CR2 AED defibrillator has the fastest time to shock of any AED on the market, with a 30-second or less response time. This means you can use it to save someone’s life in as little as 30 seconds.
The average time for an automated external defibrillator (AED) to apply an electrical shock and restore normal heart rhythm is 50 seconds – that’s more than 10 times longer than our new device!

No need to pause CPR while analysing
With the new CR2 Lifepak Defibrillator, you can continue CPR while analysing the heart rhythm. This makes it easier to check if your patient has a shockable rhythm and identify the right one for treatment.
You don’t need to pause chest compressions or stop working on another vital sign when checking their heart rate: with this device it’s possible to do both at once!
One set electrode for Adults and Kids
You’ll also be able to use a single set of electrodes on adults and kids. This is especially helpful when you’re performing CPR on a child, as it eliminates the need to change the size of your pads.
Another benefit is that you can apply defibrillation shocks through clothing, which means fewer interruptions in your treatment process because you don’t have to remove layers or take off clothes like other AEDs require you to do.
Button switch to Child mode
The CR2 Lifepak Defibrillator has a button switch to Child mode. This allows you to treat a child with the same device that you would use for an adult.
To switch from adult mode to Child mode, press and hold the “Adult” button until it changes colour (green). You will hear a beep when this happens – then release your finger from this button. The display will now show “Child”.
To switch back from Child mode back into adult mode again, simply repeat steps 1 and 2 above but press down on either of the two buttons labelled “Adult”.
Conclusion
So, if you’re looking for a new AED and want the best possible results in the event of a cardiac arrest, then we recommend going with LifePak. It has all the features you need to save lives and can be used by anyone – even if they’ve never done CPR before!
